Undercover Cops Sold Designers Radiators And Boilers From Scrap Metal Thieves

Police men who went undercover as part of plan to prevent heating equipment being stolen from houses under renovation have been a success. They successfully captured three men from Burnley who provided them boilers and Designer radiators as part of a scrap metal trick.

The metal thieves, who made an effort to sell Bathroom furniture worth more than £6,000, have appeared before Burnley Magistrate’s court after being found red-handed by police who secured the operation this past year.

However the defence solicitor questioned the tactics employed by the officers to trap the accused.

The court heard that the trip of robbers have been approached while walking down the street and presented money for anything they could find.

The Prosecutor alternatively said more than £8,000 valuation on boilers and other associated equipment, like copper piping and fireplaces and Towel radiators were given over by the three.

One of the culprits had carried out 85 previous offences, mostly thefts, but the other two men merely had juvenile reprimands or warnings on their records.
